Cruisin’: Antigua

Next stop: St. John, Antigua.

I was so excited for our next dock, because I heard nothing but great things about the beaches here. Unfortunately, it was pouring rain so the beach was a no-go. Luckily we were able to change our plans and take part in another tour offered by the cruise ship.

The view from Shirley Heights.

Nelson’s Dockyard, the only remaining Georgian naval dockyard in the world.

Nelson’s Dockyard had a lot of different attractions besides the actual dock – shops, restaurants, a museum, and a hotel.

Rum punch anyone? Well actually this is spiced rum punch. I was definitely surprised at just how “spicy” the punch actually was. I’m not sure if you can see it, but the entire bottom of the cup (the red that you see in the right cup) is full of spices.
